Steam Narrowboat President and Butty Kildare visit "Shackerstone In Steam"

Steam Boat President and Butty Kildare were seen by us on the Trent and Mersey CanalSteam Boat President and Butty Kildare were seen by us on the Trent and Mersey Canal heading back to the Black Country Museum, Tipton Road, Dudley near Birmingham in the West Midlands, in early September 2007 whilst on a circular cruise to "Shackerstone In Steam" at the Shackerstone Steam Rally at the Battlefield Line Steam Railway, Shackerstone, Leicestershire, on the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal.

Steam Boat President and Butty Kildare were seen by us on the Trent and Mersey CanalNB President left Dudley on the 25th August heading for the "Shackerstone In Steam" at the Shackerstone Steam Rally - On Sunday 26th to Birmingham Hockley Heath; Monday 27th headed for "Cape of Good Hope", Warwick - True canal side pub, the canal is a few feet from the front door, adjacent to Cape top lock on the Grand Union Canal; Tuesday 28th she made it to Braunston Marina; Wednesday 29th to Ansty on the Steam Boat President and Butty Kildare were seen by us on the Trent and Mersey CanalOxford Canal; Thursday 30th to Trinity Marina, Hinckley, Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal; Friday 31st August Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd September at Shackerstone In steam at Shackerstone Steam Rally Shackerstone, Leicestershire, on the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal. Monday 3rd left Shackerstone - She departed early for Hartshill Bridge Number 29 and the Anchor Steam Boat President and Butty Kildare were seen by us on the Trent and Mersey CanalInn Tuesday 4th Hartshill Hopwas, Dixons Bridge. Wednesday 5th Hopwas on the Birmingham and Frazaley Canal , Coventry Canal and Trent And Mersey Canal to Great Haywood, at the Junction of the Trent and Mersey and Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canals. Thursday 6th Coven Cross Green near the "Anchor Inn" on The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. Friday 7th Coven - BCLM, Dudley.

The Steam Working Boat 'The President' with the 'Butty' Kildare has arranged to be in attendance at the Shackerstone festival along side the largest collection of narrow boats and working boats seen on the Ashby Canal.
