Stafford Boat Club, Staffs and Worcsester Canal

We have used Stafford Boat Club's dry wharfage facilities for DIY bottom blacking every other year for the last 6 years via the slipway which can be hired for re-blacking the bottom or for under the water-line repairs.

While your boat is out, it can be surveyed for insurance purposes, you can change or straighten your propeller, carry out work on rudder or bearing, sacrificial anodes, which can also be supplied by the club, can also be replaced at this time.

There is also a Wet Dock that can be hired to repaint or work on your boat at any time of year, under cover and if required with heaters. Both ends of the Wet Dock can be shut to minimize the cold air and dust from entering the building.

Stafford Boat Club has diesel sales on the linear moorings and also pumpout / chemical toilet disposal facillities.

During those cold months they can supply Coal for that all important fire.

Stafford Boat Club have overnight moorings for those who would like to partake of liquid refreshments at the bar in the modern clubhouse.

Situated on the Staffs and Worcsester Canal, just a couple of hours cruise from Tixall Lock, the Stafford Boat Club is in the centre of some of the best cruising on the system.

Their friendly membership consists of all age groups with first hand experiance of the local waterways. So if you need advice on cruising any of the local canals and rivers, this is the place to come. Drop in for a cuppa at our Clubhouse and have a chat with members, you will always be made to feel welcome.

The Stafford Boat Club has been running for over 40 years and to make sure of it continuing for a further 40 years, they need new members that are prepared to do some of the maintenance work required to run a club of this size.
