HS2 Ltd. is holding a series of meetings so that the public can find out how the design of the route will be developed and the environmental impacts assessed, click here

Our tripboats do an amazing number of trips. Here I only mention the special ones.
John Varley will be running full length trips on August 26th and September 13th. Its Monday Lock Keeper cruises continue. It is doing walk up trips on Tuesdays in the school holidays and special August Friday cruises.
Madeline will be doing a one way trip from Tapton Lock to Hollingwood Hub on September 10th, leaving at 12.00; only £5. It is doing walk up trips on Mondays and Wednesdays in the school holidays.
Seth Ellis will be doing return trips from the Chequers Inn at Ranby on August 26th, 27th and 28th and from Retford Town Lock on September 9th and 16th.
Hugh Henshall will be doing Shireoaks to Turnerwood return trips on 9th September.
Vegetation cutting – help needed
Python has an ambitious programme of vegetation cutting from September 20th to November 6th. If you would like to help, please sign up on Trip Manager, or if that means nothing to you, email [email protected]

Worksop to Kiveton Bridge walk
Saturday September 16th: “Twists And Turns On The Towpath!”
The Chesterfield Canal towpath forms the spine of this walk, however we’ll leave it a few times to explore field and woodland paths nearby. Start: 10.15 a.m. at Worksop station; finish: Kiveton Bridge station. Distance: 9 miles. Leader: David Blackburn. For further information, email [email protected]
