A rare opportunity to purchase a parcel of land adjacent to this popular stretch of the North Oxford canal.

This private rural plot has an approximately 50ft canal mooring frontage, with a depth of approx 70ft sloping down from the canal bank; its location is well placed to all major amenities.

The land cannot be built on and is classed as leisure recreational use only. The majority of the site is laid to lawn, with some trees. There is an old caravan and van on site which have been used for storage.

Although the plot has been generally used for storage over the past few years, boats have been moored prior to that on its frontage, and we see no reason why Canal & River Trust would not issue a mooring permit, but the purchaser would have to make their own enquiries to their satisfaction.

There are no charges to pay to the local authority, but should you moor a boat you will have to pay Canal and River Trust for a mooring permit at a 50% reduction of their local mooring charges based upon the length of the boat. You cannot moor a boat over 50' in length.

The plot has mains water up to it but not connected. There is no mains electricity installed, however it may be possible in the future to obtain a supply from the Marina next door, although they are not on the National grid yet. There is no sewage or refuse disposal on site. Supplies of diesel, gas and coal are delivered monthly by boat if required so no fetching and carrying!

There is a secure dedicated private access track to the plot, this track is for the use of all the canal side plots in perpetuity.

The starting price is based upon the price per foot that previous plots have sold for over the past years.
