This delightful wharfinger's cottage is steeped in history and sits at the edge of 13 acres of it’s own private broadleaf woodland with oak, ash and beech in abundance.

The woodland is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and slopes steeply up the side of the Blorenge Mountain.

The house is approached by a lane from the village and has a shared private bridge over the canal.

Next door is a historic working wharf.

The area is famed for its food and has many excellent restaurants and gastro-pubs as well as hosting a food festival each September.

For everyday shopping there is a large Waitrose less than half a mile away (a pleasant walk) and the village has a post office.

The market town of Abergavenny (Y Fenni) is close by.
