Inland Waterways Boat Rally - Leicester Riverside Festival - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th June 2011 - Bede Park, Mile Straight & Western Boulevard Highlights on the River Soar include a colourful gathering of boats for the Inland Waterways Boat Rally, canoe handling demonstrations, boat trips and on the Sunday the ever popular and exciting charity dragon boat racing.

Inland Waterways Boat Rally - Leicester Riverside Festival - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th June 2011 - Bede Park, Mile Straight & Western Boulevard Bede Park off Western Boulevard, Westcotes, Leicester is a new, modern park, located in the Bede Island / Castle Park area of Leicester. It is flanked by the old River Soar to the west and Grand Union Canal (Leicester Line) to the east.

Bede Park is just under 2 hectares in size and contains a Inland Waterways Boat Rally - Leicester Riverside Festival - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th June 2011 - Bede Park, Mile Straight & Western Boulevard Mediterranean style plaza, offering seating around a central performance space plus both toddler and junior play areas. The latter features one of the largest slides of its kind in the UK. Both play areas are dog free.

There is a large open space suitable for a wide variety of leisure uses and the boundaries of the park are planted with a pleasing mix of ornamental shrubs hence the location for the Leicester Riverside Festival on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th June 2011.
