Go to www.chesterfield-canal-trust.org.uk or just Google Chesterfield Canal and it is the first choice.![]() The old Chesterfield Canal Trust website was designed and maintained by Ruud Rozemeyer for many years and the Trust is indebted to him for bringing them into the cyber age. However it was proving more and more difficult to maintain and was increasingly complicated to use. Trust webmaster David Morris has spent months consulting with a wide range of people to ascertain the best way to organise the new Chesterfield Canal Trust site and has put hundreds of hours into sorting out the new layout and content. Once all this groundwork was done, Oakleaf Graphics designed a new front page and templates for the rest of the site. This design company is run by long-standing Trust member Alan James who has been involved in producing every edition of Cuckoo (the Trust’s award winning magazine) since 1988. The Chesterfield Canal Trust believes that the result is attractive, clean, clear and easy to use. Sections include Latest News; On the Water including tips for boaters; Off the Water including walks, local attractions and places of refreshment; Membership and of course a Gallery with photographs and video clips. Bookmarking the Events Diary is a must. The site is the natural place to seek information about the latest news on the Trust’s Festival to be held at Worksop on 17 th and 18 th July and Restoration with big projects at Staveley Town Basin and Hollingwood Hub currently being realised. Anyone still pining for the old site is in luck - it still exists. It has been kept for its vast historical archive. | SCARED OF SWITCHING? ![]() Canal, Waterways, Club And Society Events Diary FREE Canal Route Planner Link FREE ENTRY UK MUSEUMS |
