Chesterfield Canal Trust Benefit from Staveley Town Council’s Grants

At the September meeting of Staveley Town Council Chair of the Council, Barry Dyke and John Williams, the Leader, presented Robin Stonebridge, Chair of the Chesterfield Canal Trust, was presented with a cheque for £200. He thanked Staveley Town Council for the support and reported that work on the canal wash wall of the latest extension was nearing completion; work on the Staveley Town Basin is on schedule for it to be filled with water in November; and the society are looking forward to holding a Canal Festival in June 2012 on the new Events Field.
