This is a copy of the text of an official BW form that we filled in when we declared we became "Continuous Cruisers".

NOTIFICATION OF A BOAT'S HOME MOORING OR CRUISES CONTINUOUSLY

It is a condition of your licence when keeping a boat on our waterways is that it has a home mooring - somewhere it can lawfully be left whilst not cruising. The only exceptions to this are:-

(a) if the boat continuously (without staying in any one place for more than 14 days) in accordance with the British Waterways Act 1995; or

(b) if the boat is removed from our water when it is not being used for cruising.

Please complete this form to confirm the current home mooring of your boat, or to indicate that it os a continuous cruiser. If your boat has been sold, or removed from BW waters, please complete the form overleraf (Transfer of boat ownership or off-water declaration).
