I am sure you all have a UK canal or river - narrowboat or riverboat - related story to tell. There are no limits to the number of contributions you can make to canalcuttings, but all contributions (Canal Cuttings) will, of course, be subject to editorial review and amendment if it is felt appropriate. Britain has over 4000 miles of waterways, much of that has accessible towpath, over 2.5 thousand listed buildings and structures, around 70 scheduled monuments, nearly 5,000 bridges and almost 400 aqueducts. There are around 1,550 working locks and many that don't, not to mention over 1,000 lock cottages and other dwellings, plus 60 tunnels. So there is an awful lot to see!
